Comics NOW! – Archie

Archie first appeared in Pep Comics in 1941
and has been the longest running publication. Soon changing its name to Archie Comics, the
company has been around for over 75 years. They also created The Shield who came out
months before Marvel’s obvious copy, Captain American Idol. I mean, It’s Captain America. But I couldn’t resist. Most people still think Archie is set in the
50’s, and the company knows this. Archie was reimagined just last year to try to bring in new readers. And look at that. That’s pretty great. “Oh, Arrrrchie.” A few years before that, the company decided
to make Archie more accessible to adults. So, introducing “Afterlife with Archie”. No, Archie’s not dead. Or anything. No. He’s just facing a whole new set of problems: a zombie apocalypse. On top of that, they also added “Life with
Archie”, a look at Archie as an adult. So far, Archie has only been in high school
and college. Do you wonder if he ends up with Betty or
Veronica? The answer is yes. Not wanting to split fans, each issue is divided. It shows what Archie’s life would be like with Betty, and then what it would be like with Veronica. There’s still plenty for kids and teens because they still have all the issues of Archie, Jughead, Josie and the Pussycats, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which is also a manga. And Archie Comics has the rights to Sonic the Hedgehog and Megaman. So there’s tons of comics out there for everyone in the family. Find the ComicsPlus link on our website and
