Kid President + Peanuts | Life is like a comic

– Life is like a blank sheet of paper. It’s full of potential. It’s full of promise. Each day is kind of like a comic strip, waiting to be filled out — you know, little blocks that are waiting for what you’re gonna say, what you’re gonna do. How you gonna fill them? That’s the question. You can fill those empty boxes with something awesome. [ Electric guitar playing ] Or something awful. My life is terrible. I got to let everyone know on the Internet so people will like it. Send. Some people fill their day with the same, old, predictable stuff. But not you. You’re awesome. Change stuff up. Some people are like cartoon characters. They wear the same thing every day. Uh, scratch that. Back. I take that back. Don’t judge me. I like wearing a suit. You know, it’s flashy. Each day is different. Some days are filled with music and dancing, and some days are just filled with misunderstandings. Um, tell me, um, what’s your, um, opinion of the upcoming election? – [ Warbling indistinctly ] – Could you repeat that? I didn’t get it. – [ Warbling indistinctly ] – Uh, I’m sorry, but your voice sounds like a trumpet. – Wah. – Everybody’s days could be more awesome if we took time to understand each other. Then maybe we wouldn’t sound like trumpets to each other. – Wah. – The truth is, we need each other. Yeah, even the trumpets. Otherwise, it would just be you on the baseball team. I mean, you’re pretty awesome, but it would just be you, all alone. Good grief. You need people to celebrate with and people to be sad with and people just to be with. All the different people in your life, they add life to the empty sheet of paper. People who are messy. [ Chuckles ] People who need reassurance. Hey, I like my blanket. People who feel like they’re losers. People who think they got all figured out. The truth is, we’re all trying to figure it out. We’re all adding a little something to the story, a little note to the music, a little block in the comic. Some days, life is tough. It feels like you’re doing nothing but going uphill. On days like that, we need all the different voices, to cheer us on, to keep us going, because sometimes, you don’t get to choose what happens. Sometimes, you miss the football. [ Panting ] Sometimes, the tree eats your kite. Sometimes, you pick the wrong Christmas tree. Things won’t always be awesome, but our response can be. Some days, you’re doing the Snoopy dance, and some days, you’re doing the Charlie Brown. [ Imitates crying ] [ Laughs ] Fill each little box and fill it well. It all adds up to something pretty amazing. That’s life, and it’s yours. It might feel like you will never win, but there’s something that you need to know. You want to win at life? Help other people win. So you, go on, fill those blanks, Fill the blanks of your day with awesome, and wake up and do it all over again. That’s a good life. Now I got some work to do.
