Riverdale: How are Riverdale and Greendale connected? Are they near each other?

 Riverdale season four and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina part three are going to be arriving this year With the arrival of the supernatural show last year and the expansion of the Archie Comics universe, there have understandably been lots of questions about how the two worlds of Greendale and Riverdale co-exist breaks down the links between the towns.How are Riverdale and Greendale connected? Both Riverdale and Greendale are adapted from Archie Comics series and exist in the same universe  So they are connected with references to the different towns in both shows, suggesting they could be quite close to each other  Both towns are closely connected even though very different things happen in each series and have their own unique DNA  There have been references to Riverdale in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina after Ben Button (played by Moses Thiessen) turned up   Riverdale season 4 Netflix release date, cast, trailer, plot  The last time fans saw Ben, he died after playing Gryphons and Gargoyles in Riverdale season three  A couple of students also mentioned Riverdale in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, suggesting the proximity between the two all-American towns  One Riverdale fans called babytheresnoplane speculated on Reddit that the towns shared mines which could be a major geographical link between the two places  The user explained that “in the conversation between archie and warden norton, warden norton speaks about where the men paid off to lie about archies involvement with the murder, he says that he himself would hide in the mines by shadow lake”   Riverdale season 4: How many episodes will be in the new series? They go on to reason that these mines could be connected to the ones in Greendale where Mr Kinkle (Christopher Rosamond) works  Once more, the locations of the shows feel in touching distance of one another. Although the shows are ripe for a crossover, Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa has previously ruled this out  He admitted he’d planned to introduce Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) as a villain at the end of season two of Riverdale but ultimately decided against it   Riverdale season 4: Shannen Doherty character revealed  Aguirre Sacasa told Entertainment Weekly: “It felt like if Riverdale is crime and pulp and all that stuff, then Sabrina could be horror  “It felt like there was a separation between Greendale and Riverdale — magic should exist in Greendale, but not in Riverdale ” However, the television executive also suggested the forthcoming run of Riverdale would take a darker path  Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo with his 524,000 Instagram followers which featured a mock-up of Cheryl Blossom’s (Madelaine Petsch) on a poster for the film Hereditary  He captioned the photo: “This season on #Riverdale. Horror is where the home is,” along with a series of emojis
